Upgrading a configuration database

Flow is capable of maintaining the structure of a configuration database. All new configuration databases start life as blank databases, and when you first log into the database using Flow it will be upgraded with the necessary tables.

Whenever you upgrade Flow it will check the status of the configuration database they next time you start the application. Based on this check it may upgrade the configuration database and add further tables and fields.

Before upgrading Flow you should take a backup of your configuration database. If any problems arise from the backup you can revert to the old executables and configuration database.

Upgrading the configuration database

1. Start Flow console and login to the configuration database
2. Based on a check you may see an Upgrade window appear. Click Update
3. Upon completion check that it is successful and click Close. Restart Flow to start using the configuration database
